Deepak Kattar, the dedicated mind behind ‘Standalone Productions’, embodies creativity and innovation in filmmaking. As a Cinematographer, editor  and Director with seamless grace, he orchestrates immersive experiences that linger in the hearts and minds of audiences. With roots in a family of wedding videographers, Deepak’s passion for visual storytelling was nurtured from young age, leading him to embark on his professional journey at just 19 . His global expeditions, spanning over 20 countries, serve as a wellspring for his creative spirit, each locale becoming a canvas for his cinematic dreams. Notably, his editorial brilliance shines in ‘Kennedy’ , a Cannes-nominated masterpiece. Beyond filmmaking, Deepak’s musical inclination infuses his work with a  rhythm that resonates deeply. With Standalone Productions as his platform and the world as his stage, he invites audiences on transcendent journey where every frame is a masterpiece and every story an ode to the human experience.

2004

Embarked on a professional journey with first editing job “The Indian Golf Show” for Ten Sports.

2005-06

Worked on several high-rated TV shows, including ‘Mom, Tum Aur Hum’ and ‘Kiran Ki Kachheri‘ telecasted on StarPlus, ‘Bollywood Ka Boss’ and Sahara. During this period, he collaborated with renowned production houses in Delhi, contributing to numerous brand films and ad campaigns.

2007

Joined NDTV, where he played a crucial role in some of the network’s top shows such as “Chhupa Rustom,” “Zaika India Ka,” and “Jai Jawaan.”

2014

founded Standalone Productions. In its inaugural year, the company worked on a series of successful TV shows including “The Great Indian World Trip” for Discovery Channel, “Tandanu” for MTV India, and “The Painting Traditions of India” for Doordarshan.

2015

His work took him across the globe—filming a music video in New York, covering a corporate event in Singapore and the Cricket World Cup in New Zealand.

2016

Traveled to Iceland and Alaska to shoot an expedition film. His music video “Kangana” trended on YouTube India for over a week and close to reach organic 200m views so far.
